Pickleball Bunco Ladder 3.5-4.0 with Jean

Just a version of a ladder

Pickleball “bunco” will be played similar to the dice game.  There will be 4 players per court with players randomly assigned to a starting court.  Court 1 determines how long the games are played.  For each game, play continues until court 1 has a winner (play to 11, win by 1 point).  When court 1 has a winner, they yell out “PICKLE”, then the remaining 5 courts play out their current point.  If a game is tied, the team that got there first, wins.  The winning team (whichever is ahead, even by 1) moves up 1 court (i.e. court 3 winners move to court 2) and teammates split up for the next game.  Losing teams remain on the same court, switching partners.  If you are on court 1 and win, you stay there and switch partners.  If you are on court 1 and lose, you go down to court 6 and switch partners.  If you are on court 6 and lose, you stay there and switch partners.  You will never have the same partner 2 games in a row.

At the end of the event, whoever is on court 1, (2 players that won the last game there) will be declared the winners. 

Be sure that you are at 3.5 skill level so that you do not slow down others.  

3.5 Skill level Also possesses all 3.0 Skills

• Demonstrates strategies of playing during games
• Actively works with partners in communicating, covering court, moving to net
• With varying consistency executes: forehand/backhand ground strokes, overheads, net volleys, and sustained dinking
• Specifically places shots rather than just hitting shots anywhere
• Selective mixing up soft shots with power shots to create an advantage
• Is able to hit at least 50% of drop shots successfully.
• Is able to hit at least 80% of serves “in”.
• Is able to hit at least 80% of forehand returns.
• Is able to hit at least 80% of backhand returns.
• Is able to hit at least 80% of forehand volleys.
• Is able to hit at least 80% of backhand volleys.

I want multiples of 4 so if waitlist grows to 4, will increase group from 8 to 12
